This machine cleans great on the Normal wash setting. The instructions recommended the Normalsetting over Auto because it saves water. An improvement in the machine would be an audio signal at the end of entire cycle.

I really trust this dishwasher to get my dishes clean. It even takes care of oily messes, like peanut butter, which my old dishwasher couldn't handle. And because it has no heating element, you can put large dishwasher-safe plastics on the bottom rack. But it doesn't have a rinse-and-hold function, so I have to manually rinse anything that might get smelly while waiting for me to run it. (I live alone so it's typically 4-5 days between washes.) And a family member has the same model, and we both complain about how difficult it is to load dishes. It seems to have been designed for a formal dining set with china plates and large stemware, not for day-to-day living. I make it work, but my last one loaded better.

I like it; it's very quiet. My only complaint is the lower rack goes off the track very easily. I had to learn just how to pull it out to keep it on the track..

I am tired of replacing dishwashers after a couple of years of use. Hopefully this Bosch will outlive its predecessors from other manufacturers. Everything needed for the installation was included and it was well protected by the simple packaging. This might not be the best machine for drying dishes but they are clean and the unit is very functional.
