I have dishwasher Model PDWT480P00SS. It came with Flatware Basket Model WD28X10127, which is no longer available. It has been superceded by Flatware Basket Model WD28X10128, which has a different shape. Can you please advise if this new model will actually fit in my dishwasher?

We've had the same problem as the other 14 reviewers. Seems the problem is cheap plastic construction of the silverware basket that degrades prematurely, and the heating element of the dishwasher being directly below the silverware basket. GE, please upgrade this plastic product and consider altering dishwasher design!
Flatware Basket Replacement

I have had to replace a couple of these flatware baskets on my GE Monogram dishwasher. It's a design/configuration issue. The flatware basket sits too close to the heated drying element and over time, that excess heat melts the plastic and shortens the life of the basket and other plastic components in the dishwasher. I would expect more from their top-of-line Monogram appliances. They need to use a high-temp resin for their plastic parts, and/or change the design configuration to reduce the degree to which plastic components are exposed to high temp . In my experience (3 decades in high-tech), appliances are not typically designed with the same level of engineering rigor as other more safety critical products.
Doesn't fit the newer replacement racks very well

I had to replace the bottom dishwasher rack with a new one. The replacement rack is the new rack that is used by just about every model of GE dishwashers. The previous utensil rack didn't fit, so I bought this one. Unfortunately, the size and position of the two angled corners of the rack do not fit into the GE lower rack I bought very well. You'd think that GE would design the two different replacement parts to better fit together.
